12 Essentials for Your Husband’s Man Cave

Your husband probably has his own man cave somewhere in the house or garage. Why not get him some great gifts to go in it?

Here are 12 things my husband says guys need in their man caves.

12 Essentials for Your Husband's Man Cave

{This post contains affiliate links, which means I may receive a small commission, at no cost to you, if you make a purchase through a link.}

Amazon Firestick

1. Amazon Fire TV Stick

The Fire TV Stick is a more affordable version of the Fire TV. You just plug it into any TV’s USB port and you have access to 7000 apps, games, and other things.

You can send your husband to his man cave if he wants to watch a sports game that you don’t care about. (Especially if you’re both fans of rival teams!)

The Fire TV Stick has live sports and TV from top stations like ESPN, AMC, and FOX. So even if you don’t have cable, you’re covered.

Did I mention the remote is voice-controlled? Because that’s my favorite part. I’m lazy. I just want it to go to the thing I want.

You can ask it to play Game of Thrones or anything on Netflix, Hulu, HBO, or any other platform.

It also plays music, and it will even let you order pizza through it. Check out the full range of abilities on Amazon’s product page.

We canceled our cable since everything we watch is on our Fire Stick.

2. Dry Erase Mini Fridge

Now, you can get your husband a regular mini fridge for his man cave, but how cool is this dry erase message fridge?

You can leave him notes to remind him of appointments or just leave him little love notes!

He can also write out to-do lists or just a list of what’s in the fridge so he doesn’t have to look inside to remember.

I want to get B a mini fridge for Christmas this year because he always has to come all the way upstairs to get a soda. Or sometimes he’ll just leave a 12 pack in his man cave for convenience, but the soda isn’t cold.

Occasionally he’ll even text me to ask me to bring him one. You can guess how many times I say “Yes, let me get right on that!” to him. We’re both lazy. This is perfect for both of us!

Wanna go all out? Get him a Kegerator for his man cave. He can have beer on tap!

3. Personalized Coasters

If you want your husband to use coasters for his beer and soda, get him coasters with his name on them.

You can also customize the monogram and year at the bottom.

playstation and xbox gift cards

4. Playstation or Xbox Gift Card

Do you have a gamer husband like I do? Instead of trying to remember which new game he wants, just give him a gift card to his console of choice.

My husband is a PS gamer and loves getting gift cards. Not only can he buy games, there’s also special add-ons to the games he already has, themes for his PS home screen, and he can use it for subscriptions like PS Now (basically the Netflix of games) and PS Plus (which gives you the ability to play online with friends among other features). He could also use it to buy movies or music from the PS Store.

Xbox’s gift card is similar as both companies are pretty much on par with each other. They’re the Pepsi and Coke of gaming.

Your husband may have a preference or he may have both.

If he has both, you might want to ask him if he does have a preference because there are some games that are exclusive to one system.

BEER Pop Art lamps

5. Beer Pop Art Lamp

How cool is this beer lamp? They have a few different styles available. There’s the table lamp, a tripod lamp, and you can just buy the lamp shade for your own lamp or ceiling lamp.

loot crate

6. Loot Crate

Ok, this is one of my favorite things. I mentioned how I’m a nerdy mom before. But my husband absolutely loves our Loot Crate subscription.

It comes with a t-shirt and a bunch of cool collectibles and wearables.

We’ve gotten Pop Vinyl figures and exclusive figurines that we have displayed on shelves.

He also recently got a really cool watch from his favorite anime, Bleach, that came in the Loot Anime box.

You can order one box for him for Christmas or his birthday and cancel, or you can get him a subscription.

There’s a chance he could be a lucky winner of a Mega Crate! Every month they give out a Mega Crate to one subscriber worth hundreds of dollars. They usually include 4 or 5 big prizes like a new gaming computer or an iPad and some really cool rare collectibles.

They also give out 20 Mini Mega Crates every month with smaller prizes but still worth so much more than the amount of the box.

If your husband is a specific kind of geek, you can get special Loot Crates for him. They have boxes specific to Firefly, Halo, WWE Slam, Marvel, and more. Basically any kind of geek or nerd.

7. His Favorite NFL Team Fleece Blanket

My husband is a Bears fan but they offer this style of blanket for every team. He can use it while watching a game or hang it up as a decoration.

8. 3D Marvel Lights with Decals

These are super cool. (pun intended)

They’re 3D lights that look like Spider-Man is bursting through your wall or Thor threw Mjölnir at your wall.

The cracked wall decals are included and they’re transparent so your wall color will show through. All of these are on B’s wishlist.

9. Shot Glass Roulette Drinking Game

Here’s a fun game your husband can play with his gambling buddies. The middle part spins and it comes with a ball to determine which shots are taken.

10. Paddle Your Own Canoe by Nick Offerman

I love Nick Offerman. He plays Ron Swanson on Parks and Recreation and he has written several books.

They’re funny and include tips for manly men.

I’ve read Paddle Your Own Canoe and loved it. Grab this for your husband to read or even display in his man cave.

11. A Custom Man Cave Clock

You can easily add your husband’s name to this clock for a great personalized gift.

12. Amazon Echo Dot

A newer version of the Echo Dot is out! This is the third generation dot.

It’s a hands-free voice-controlled device that your husband can put in his man cave to play music, control smart home devices like the thermostat or lights, read the news, and even order pizza.

You also may want to hint to him that he can order flowers through it from 1-800-Flowers.

Alexa is like your assistant, too. You can ask her questions instead of googling them. Or make it do math for you.

You simply say “Alexa” before you ask it something. It can hear you from across the room even if you have music playing.

Phrases you can ask Alexa

There are so many things you do with the Echo Dot. Check out the full Amazon page for the full range of abilities or to compare to the original Echo.

We have one and we ask it questions all the time. You can also use it to control your Fire Stick if you lose your remote!

We live gender neutral and don’t play into stereotypes, so no man caves here. I would like quite a few of these things myself! 🙂

Yeah I’m actually the one that really wants the Echo Dot. And half of the Loot Crate is mine. 🙂

Yes, completely agree with all! I would add a kit for home brewing beer. I bought my husband one for Christmas and I may created a monster! But the fridge and lamp would go perfectly with it!

These are great! My husband is definitely on the nerdy, superhero, DND side of things, and his man cave is a reflection of that. We haven’t tried LootCrate, but Geek Fuel and Nerd Block are similar, and we love both of those. Keeping this in mind for Christmas gifts – thanks for sharing!
