Helping your toddler or preschooler practice their fine motor skills doesn’t have to be boring.

Young kids need to build up their hand muscles and coordination so they will be able to write by the time they’re in school.

I found 21 fun activity ideas to build fine motor skills and keep your little one busy for a while.

These activities are designed to help your two year old, three year old, four year old, or five year old with their hand eye coordination and control over their muscles.

They may seem a little easy, but that’s okay. Repetition is good for developing simple but important movements.

Adults tend to take our pencil grasp for granted. We forget that it’s not a natural occurrence. It takes years to work up to it.

These activities can help your toddler or preschooler on their way to writing and good coordination.

Anything that can be pinched or grabbed or stuck through a hole. You don’t need a lot of fancy things to practice small and precise movements with your toddler or preschooler.
