7 Helpful Podcasts for Bloggers

I love podcasts for many reasons. My favorite thing about them is that they’re free! I also love to listen to them in the car on the way to work or while I’m filing at work. Podcasts are a great way to get fresh info about blogging when you can’t be at a computer to read it or you just want to let your eyes rest. I’ve been known to have blurry vision after staring at my laptop all day, but I also just want more good tips from top bloggers. Here are 7 of my favorite podcasts for bloggers.

7 Helpful Podcasts for Bloggers | Blogging tips and tricks from pro bloggers that make a full time income from blogging

1. The Blog Millionaire

The Blog Millionaire is tied for my favorite blogging podcast. Brandon Gaille has an amazing life story and if you have time, you should totally read it. He built himself back up after suffering a brain tumor and almost dying while his pregnant wife had stage 3 cancer. Truly an inspiring story.

He’s also an amazing blogger. His blog gets one million views per month, and I’ve learned so much from his podcast. Of course, he also offers courses and has blog posts. Fun fact: I was writing about this and got lost in all of the information he had for about 30 minutes.

2. Simple Pin Podcast

Simple Pin is my other favorite podcast. Ok, I just went over there and got caught up looking at stuff for a while too. Kate Ahl is a Pinterest genius! Her podcast focuses on driving traffic to your blog through Pinterest and best practices for your Pinterest profile.

She also has several other successful bloggers on her podcast as guests. I learned about MiloTree from her podcast because she had the creator, Jillian, as a guest.

3. ProBlogger

Darren Rowse has been blogging since 2002 so he knows what he’s talking about. He started ProBlogger after he achieved a full-time income from his blog empire. His podcast covers pretty much every blogger topic, and he has 170 episodes! He also has a library of six ebooks that you can buy.

4. ceoMom Talk

Kristie is the ceoMom and she’s also a friend of mine through a few blogging groups that I’m in. She’s had several great guests on her Podcast including Elna Cain from one of my favorite blogs, Twins Mommy. Kristie also has a great blog that you should check out. This is a great podcast for mom bloggers.

She also offers consulting services if you’re completely lost when it comes to blogging or if you just need some guidance.

5. Blog Fuel

Blog Fuel is a podcast from Sweet Tea LLC, and I’ve found it to be super helpful. Kirsten is a southern girl (hence the Sweet Tea) and she focuses on encouragement and goal-getting. She covers everything from email marketing to productivity. Her podcast is very easy to listen to because she’s got that sweet southern drawl.

6. I Teach Blogging

If you’re looking for a shorter, quicker podcast, I Teach Blogging is great. Renee has episodes that are about 5-10 minutes long as opposed to 30-45 minutes like the others. This is a great podcast if you have a short drive to work or you’re just looking for a quick hit of information. While they may be short, there’s a lot of them. She has 130ish episodes on various blogging topics. I recently implemented a few of her tips on WordPress security. She offers WordPress maintenance services so she’s a good person to listen to about WordPress topics.

7. The WordPress Chick Podcast

Kim Doyal is the WordPress Chick and her main focus is WordPress. SURPRISE! If you’re looking for a more in-depth podcast, each episode is about an hour long. She goes over topics like plugins and tools as well as SEO and monetization. She started this podcast in 2013 and it’s still going strong. So you’ve got a lot to catch up on.

Thanks for a great list – new options to try out! I do listen to Brandon Gaille…

The one podcast I never miss is not necessarily for bloggers alone (for creatives interested in self-publishing) is Joanna Penn at “The Creative Penn” (with two “nn”s) 🙂 She’s a cheery Brit, with an incredible drive to create. I appreciate her encouragements. I actually finished something – a book – because I was so inspired. 🙂

Awesome list. I just subscribed to many of them. I am slightly addicted to Podcasts. I love to be able to listen while I am writing and working without having to worry about the distractions of needing to stop to look at something like with YouTube. I will be checking out your suggestions.
