Halloween will be here before you know it. And to get ready for Halloween, there’s nothing better than spider crafts for your toddler or preschooler.
Spiders are as essential to Halloween as pumpkins. So try these out with your little one this fall.

1. Paper Plate Spider Craft for Kids Obsessed with the Itsy Bitsy Spider
Julie at Fab Working Mom Life had her son make this spider craft because he was obsessed with the Itsy Bitsy Spider song.
This is a fun spider craft you can make all year long but it would be fun for gearing up for Halloween.
2. Thumbprint Spider Crafts
These thumbprint spiders are actually part of my set of bugs and garden animals that you can make with your toddler or preschooler.
Get some ink and start stamping your fingers.
3. Craft Stick Spiders
Here’s another fun spider craft for toddlers and preschoolers by Julie at Fab Working Mom Life. I think her little one really likes spiders! lol
4. Styrofoam Cup Spiders
These spider crafts are super cute for Halloween! Kimberly at Natural Beach Living came up with these.
You can see the instructions here.
5. Pom Pom Spider Craft
Here’s a cute little pom pom spider craft from Tikkido.
Pom poms are good little craft supplies for any toddler craft or activity. These spiders have fun googly eyes too.
Check out the instructions here.
6. Sparkly Spider Craft
Rather go sparkly than scary?
Katie at Happily Ever Mom came up with these glittery spiders that any sparkle lover will love to make.
7. Styrofoam Ball Spider Craft for Toddlers
I’m going to try this craft with Toot for Halloween this year. It’s by Craftulate and you can play the video above for a tutorial.
You’ll have to pre-cut the pipe cleaners with wire cutters for your toddler or preschooler. But your toddler should be able to do the rest.
You can get styrofoam balls on Amazon.
8. Yarn Spiders for Halloween
These yarn spiders are fun to make. It’s basically just wrapping yarn around cardboard. So easy a toddler can do it.
Props to Make and Takes for this fun Halloween craft!
Watch the video above for a tutorial.
9. Egg Carton Spider Craft
This Camigrof video is a good craft to make with your kids around Halloween.
Especially if you have a bunch of egg cartons leftover. We always have an egg carton.
10. Moving Spider Crafts
I thought this craft was going to be harder than it actually is. It’s actually pretty easy to do.
You’ll have to help your toddler a little like most of these crafts. But they get to play with it after it’s finished! I love crafts that become toys.
This one is by Paper Magic. You can get the sticks here.

Here is our attempt at the moving spider craft. We substituted a craft stick for a dowel rod.
And we used pink and purple paper because we didn’t have black paper on hand. But it makes for a cute spider friend!
And Toot had fun using the glue stick.
Do you like to make spider crafts with your kids?

What cute ideas! Halloween is definitely much closer than I’d like to admit. It’s nice to have crafts to keep the kids busy, and so they can have things to do when they are bored or when they have friends over.
