My daughter has been facinated with aliens for a while now. I think that’s mainly because I have so much X-Files stuff in my house. I’m a bit obsessed.
So I figured an alien spaceship craft was a great idea for her.
The little alien guy pops in and out of the spaceship, and she loves to pretend to fly him around.
Here’s how to make it.

Craft Supplies Needed:
2 paper plates (per project)
Glue
Tape
Pencil
Scissors

How to Make a UFO Paper Plate Craft:
1. Print the PDF and cut pieces apart. You can get the PDF here.

2. Trace the large opening of the cup in the middle of one paper plate.
3. Cut the circle a little smaller than the circle so the cup fits through but doesn’t fall out.

4. Secure the cup with tape.

5. Decorate the paper plate around the cup by attaching pieces with glue.

6. On the other paper plate cut a thick line through the middle for the puppet to slide through.
7. Glue the two paper plates together at the edge with the paper plates curved away from one another.

8. Glue or tape the alien to the popsicle stick.
9. Allow the craft to dry completely before playing or displaying.

Then your kids are free to play with the alien and the UFO. They can pretend to abduct little plastic cows or people.
Maybe they just want to zoom around in space.
I’d definitely let my Mulder and Scully Barbies meet the alien. lol (If they were out of the box, that is. They’re definitely still in the box.)
